The 44V5252 is a dedicated IBM DASD backplane (split) to rear SAS cable designed for use in IBM storage systems. This cable provides a direct connection between the split backplane interface and the rear SAS ports, enabling data transfer and communication between the DASD subsystem and the SAS backplane. It is engineered to match IBM’s proprietary DASD backplane specifications while maintaining compatibility with standard SAS rear connectors. The cable’s construction ensures reliable signal integrity and durability in high‑density storage environments, making it suitable for integration into IBM server and storage platform configurations that require a split backplane to SAS interface.
